A piano on a flat ground floor is straightforward. A piano coming down a flight of stairs, or out of a sunken living room, needs more crew and more time. Tell us about the stairs when you call. It is the single biggest factor in the quote.
Grands come apart before they come out
The legs and lyre are removed and the body is tipped onto a piano board for a grand or baby grand. That is normal, it is how they were brought in, and it is not damage.
Most pianos cannot be donated
This surprises people. Schools, churches and charities are flooded with offers and almost all decline, especially anything needing tuning or repair. If yours is genuinely playable, say so and we will try, but we would rather set the expectation honestly than promise a home for it.
Priced on labor and access, not volume
A piano barely fills the trailer but takes four hands and careful work. These are quoted on the crew and access required rather than the space it occupies, so send photos of both the instrument and the path out.
Doorways, turns and tight hallways
Uprights usually clear a standard doorway, but the turn at the bottom of a staircase or into a narrow hall is often the real constraint. A photo of the route matters more than a photo of the piano.

A single piano is usually a Minimum Pickup or Quarter Load by volume, but pricing reflects the crew and access it takes rather than the space used. Pricing starts at $99 for a minimum pickup and scales with volume. You always get a firm price before anything is loaded.
